During the criminal case, the investigative department of the Customs Service conducted a series of operational investigative activities, as a result of which the places of sale and storage of unregistered gadgets were identified.
Operational staff, together with the "Manas" customs, carried out controlled purchases and searches at 12 retail locations and one warehouse. As a result, 243 mobile phones of various brands, such as Apple and Samsung, were seized, which are not listed in the information systems of the EAEU and "Smart Bazy", indicating their illegal import.
Violations were recorded in shopping centers such as TSUM, GUM "Chynar", the Victory business center, as well as in a warehouse located on Abdrakhmanov Street.
The collected materials have been sent to the investigative department of the Customs Service for further examination and appropriate decisions regarding the case.
The fight against illegal import and sale of goods is considered an important part of ensuring the economic security of the country and compliance with the EAEU norms, as specified in the statement.
