More than 20 tons of grapes from Kyrgyzstan were not allowed into Russia

At the "Bugristoye" checkpoint on the Russian-Kazakh border, located in the Chelyabinsk region, two batches of grapes weighing a total of 20.8 tons were detained. This was made possible by the efforts of the employees of the Ural Interregional Directorate of the Rosselkhoznadzor, who discovered violations of phytosanitary standards in the accompanying documents, as reported by local media.

One of the detained batches consisted of 19.3 tons of grapes that were sent from the Chui region of Kyrgyzstan to Chelyabinsk. During the document inspection, it was found that the packaging of the quarantine products lacked information about the place of origin; only the country was indicated, which is a violation, noted the press service of the Rosselkhoznadzor.

According to established quarantine requirements, all products must have complete information about the manufacturer, place of growth, production date, and storage periods. Due to the identified violations, the drivers of the vehicles were held administratively liable, and both batches of grapes were returned to the country of origin.
