The Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic announces plans to significantly increase the supply of products from domestic producers to the Chinese market.
As part of this initiative, the republic has begun work on preparing and agreeing upon five new veterinary and sanitary protocols, which include requirements and procedures for inspection control. After the signing of these documents, Kyrgyz products will be able to enter additional segments of the Chinese market.
The list of new products planned for export includes:
- thermally processed beef and its by-products;
- thermally processed sheep meat and its by-products;
- frozen horse meat and by-products;
- horse hides;
- live horses.
The conclusion of these protocols will create opportunities for a significant increase in export volumes from the Kyrgyz Republic, which in turn will enhance the competitiveness of local products and allow for a diversification of the range of goods offered in the Chinese market.
"To date, Kyrgyzstan already has the right to export more than 32 types of agricultural and food products to China, including honey, beans, nuts, dairy products, fish, wool, and other goods. The expansion of the list of exported items indicates a high level of trust from Chinese regulators and the compliance of Kyrgyz goods with international quality and safety standards," the statement added.
