At the checkpoint "Ak-Tilek," located in the Chui region, an attempt to illegally import 6,480 kilograms of fish products from the Islamic Republic of Iran was stopped. This was reported by the Ministry of Agriculture.

According to the information from the ministry, the truck carrying the prohibited goods was not allowed to enter the territory of Kyrgyzstan. Inspectors of the border veterinary control at the "Ak-Tilek" checkpoint identified violations of veterinary and sanitary standards established by the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).

After establishing the fact of the violation, a corresponding return act was issued by the inspectors. These measures were taken to ensure epizootic safety in the country, protect public health, and comply with the unified veterinary standards of the EAEU.
