According to the agency's information, veterinary control was conducted at the border checkpoint, where 840 specimens of decorative birds were inspected, including budgerigars, cockatiels, ring-necked parakeets, and lovebirds.
These parrots arrived in the Krasnoyarsk region via air transport from the village of Kashkar-Kyshtak, located in Kyrgyzstan.
The statement also emphasizes that all sanitary and veterinary standards of Russia and the Customs Union were adhered to during the transportation of these birds.
The cargo was intended for an individual entrepreneur engaged in breeding and caring for decorative birds in Krasnoyarsk.
The parrots were placed in a specially designated area where quarantine will take place. During this time, veterinary specialists will conduct the necessary research and preventive measures.
Since the beginning of 2025, 17 batches of decorative birds from Kyrgyzstan have already been imported to Krasnoyarsk.
