The initiative is being implemented as part of the project "Pesticide Lifecycle Management and the Elimination of POP Pesticides in Central Asian Countries and Turkey."
The electronic system will ensure the accounting and tracking of substances from the moment of their registration until they arrive at warehouses. Additionally, it will create a current database of substances permitted for use in agriculture.
The new platform will contribute to the formation of a common information space for government institutions, suppliers, and agricultural producers, which, in turn, will improve the control system and minimize risks associated with the use of chemical plant protection products. The Ministry of Agriculture noted that the database is already being populated with all registered pesticides and agrochemicals from the past ten years, which will allow for the creation of a complete and up-to-date register.
Among the key advantages of the electronic register are:
- simplification of suppliers' work through a single digital platform;
- automation of application processing, document verification, and data updates;
- increased transparency in registration and control;
- quick access to current information for all market participants;
- reduction of paper documentation and optimization of specialists' work;
- traceability of the pesticide lifecycle from registration to storage;
- reduction of environmental and sanitary risks, and increased safety in agricultural production.
