The Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan has initiated the creation of an electronic database dedicated to halal products. The launch of this system is planned for next year, as reported by the director of the halal industry development center, Almaz Kaiyrbekov, on the air of "Birinchi Radio."

According to Kaiyrbekov, the new information storage system will provide more accurate data on the number of producers of meat, dairy, and other types of halal products.

The database will be integrated into the state portal, which will ensure convenient information exchange between various government structures.

“This will allow us to see real data on the production of halal products and ensure the necessary transparency,” he added.

The system will track all processes, starting from the moment of animal slaughter to processing and obtaining the finished product.

“For example, when it comes to sausage, we need to know where the meat came from and who owned the animal,” he clarified.

Kaiyrbekov also emphasized that the comprehensive development of the processing industry in the agricultural sector will significantly increase the contribution of animal husbandry to the country's economy.

It is worth noting that in June last year, President Sadyr Japarov signed the Law "On the Halal Industry." In December 2024, officials plan to test the new state portal for the halal industry of Kyrgyzstan. This will be the only automated information system for accounting and control of certified halal products and services. After the testing is completed, integration with the interdepartmental electronic interaction platform "Tunduk" is expected, which will ensure digital interaction between certification bodies, oversight authorities, and market participants.
