On February 5, 2026, during a working visit to Bahrain, the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Saudi Arabia, Ulukbek Maripov, met with the Minister of Industry and Commerce of Bahrain, Abdallah bin Adel Fakhro. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During the meeting, the possibilities for deepening economic and investment cooperation between the two countries were discussed, as well as ways to increase mutual trade turnover. In particular, the organization of a visit by a business delegation from Bahrain to Kyrgyzstan was mentioned, to participate in the Second Investment Forum of Central Asian countries and the Gulf Cooperation Council, which will take place on April 24-25, 2026, in Bishkek.
Maripov expressed a desire for Abdallah Fakhro to head the Bahraini delegation at the upcoming investment forum "CA+GCC" in Kyrgyzstan, which would help further strengthen trade and economic ties between the two countries.
Minister Fakhro, for his part, thanked for the invitation and emphasized the importance of the upcoming forum, adding that he would try to participate in it together with the delegation from Bahrain.
As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue working on the discussed issues and to strengthen cooperation in the trade and economic sphere.
