On February 11, officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs came to the home of Bekbolot Talgarbekov and conducted a search, as reported by his son Arstan Talgarbekov. He does not know the reason for his father's questioning.
Additionally, on February 9, a group of 75 former prime ministers, members of parliament, and public figures appealed to President Sadyr Japarov and Speaker Nurlanbek Turgunbek with a call to hold early presidential elections. Some of the signatories later admitted that they agreed to this appeal without familiarizing themselves with its content.
Bekbolot Talgarbekov, one of the initiators of this initiative, emphasized that holding presidential elections would help avoid public conflicts and provocations.
The press secretary of President Sadyr Japarov, Askhat Alagozov, characterized this appeal as an attempt to "create a negative atmosphere in society," including among high-ranking government officials such as members of parliament.
Alagozov added that when President Japarov spoke about preventing a split after the dismissal of Kamchybek Tashiev, he meant not only the former head of the State Committee for National Security but also people like Bekbolot Talgarbekov, Emilbek Uzakbaev, and others.
