Public figure Bekbolot Talgarbekov was detained and taken for questioning at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as reported by his son Arstan Talgarbekov to the correspondent of VB.KG.
In the morning, police officers conducted a search of Talgarbekov's apartment located in the 8th microdistrict of Bishkek. After the investigative actions were completed, he was taken to the Main Department of Criminal Investigation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for questioning.
According to his son, three officers accompanied him, while the others remained in the apartment to continue procedural activities.
Arstan also noted that law enforcement agencies are summoning all 75 signatories of the collective appeal regarding the holding of early presidential elections for questioning. He emphasized that, in their opinion, the document does not contain any illegal calls. At the same time, his father continues to support the policies of President Sadyr Japarov and the head of the State Committee for National Security, Kamchybek Tashiev.
Talgarbekov was previously one of the initiators of the appeal requesting urgent consideration of the issue of new presidential elections. The document was signed by 75 individuals, including scholars, former prime ministers, former deputies, and public activists.
However, some media outlets reported that the Ministry of Internal Affairs denied these allegations.
