He proposed to install two sluices in the settlements of the region.
In response, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture Bakyt Torobaev stated that he was ready to address this issue.
The deputy also inquired about when the issuance of loans for the development of drip irrigation at an interest rate of 2% per annum would begin.
Torobaev assured that a solution to this issue would be found within a month.
Additionally, he noted that in the future, the entire Issyk-Kul region should transition to drip irrigation of fields.
“It is not possible to constantly allocate water only for irrigation; it is also necessary to take care of the replenishment of Lake Issyk-Kul,” he emphasized.
The meeting discussed information from the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic regarding preparations for spring field and economic activities in 2026 in the country.
