- In the Chui region, a plan has been approved for the preparation of state irrigation networks for the 2026 growing season, which includes both capital and current repairs of channels, as well as the updating of water measurement systems. This was reported by Erlan Omuraliyev, head of the Main Department of Water Management of the Chui region, at a meeting of the board dedicated to the socio-economic development of the region.

He noted that the following activities are planned for capital repairs in 2026:

Capital repair of channels — 53 kilometers

Concrete surface laying — 20.09 kilometers

Channel concreting — 12.4 kilometers

Mechanical cleaning of channels — 20.8 kilometers

Capital repair of hydraulic structures — 22 units

Capital repair of water measurement posts — 145 units

Installation of water measurement sensors — 500 units

Additionally, the current repair plan includes the following works:

Repair of channels — 170.5 kilometers

Mechanical cleaning of channels — 81 kilometers

Repair of water measurement posts — 516 units

Repair of hydraulic structures — 579 units

“Zhyltir” pumping station — 1 unit

Furthermore, Omuraliyev emphasized that funding in the amount of 21 billion soms has been allocated for the preparation of intra-farm irrigation networks for the 2026 growing season in the region.
