Zheenbek Kulubaev and the head of the Swiss FDI discussed issues of trade, investment, and tourism

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Jeenbek Kulubaev, met with Ignazio Cassis, the head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland, on February 23, 2026, in Geneva. This meeting took place within the framework of the high-level 61st session of the UN Human Rights Council, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.

During the discussions, the parties addressed important aspects of Kyrgyz-Swiss cooperation, including political dialogues and economic ties, as well as the implementation of the joint program for 2026–2029 and collaboration in international organizations.

Jeenbek Kulubaev congratulated his Swiss colleagues on their chairmanship in the OSCE in 2026 and expressed readiness for active cooperation within this organization. Both sides noted positive progress in bilateral relations and emphasized the need to strengthen high-level contacts. The discussions also focused on issues related to the development of trade and economic relations, attracting investments, cooperation in tourism, and joint project implementation.

Additionally, the meeting included an exchange of views on sustainable development in mountainous regions and current international agenda items.

As a result of the meeting, the parties confirmed their interest in further deepening Kyrgyz-Swiss partnership and developing a fruitful dialogue.
