According to information from the Internal Affairs Department of the Batken region, a special operation was conducted in the region starting from March 2, 2026, which resulted in the disruption of a criminal group engaged in the sale of hashish.
As part of the criminal case initiated under Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic ("Illegal production of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and their analogs for the purpose of sale"), as a result of operational-search activities, residents of the city were detained: 21-year-old A.B. and 22-year-old D.A.
The suspects have been placed in a temporary detention facility, and investigative actions are ongoing. Operational and preventive measures are planned until March 7, 2026.
