The Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic reminds that March 20, 2026, the day of Orozo Ait, will be a non-working day. This decision is based on the Labor Code.
Additionally, the working day before the holiday will be shortened by one hour.
It should also be noted that Nowruz, which is celebrated on March 21, falls on a Saturday in 2026, and there is no provision for transferring the day off in this case.
In organizations where work cannot be interrupted, employees may be required to work on holidays in accordance with labor legislation.
The Ministry of Labor urges employers to strictly adhere to the requirements of the legislation regarding the organization of working hours on holidays.
