In January, Kyrgyz citizens received over $220 million in remittances from abroad, - National Bank

According to information provided by the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, at the beginning of 2026, the volume of remittances received in Kyrgyzstan reached $220.3 million.

Of this amount, the majority, totaling $205.7 million, came from CIS countries, while only $14.6 million was received from distant foreign countries.

At the same time, as of the end of January, the total volume of remittances sent from Kyrgyzstan amounted to $17.7 million. Of this sum, $16.3 million was sent to CIS countries, while the remaining $1.4 million went to distant foreign countries.
