The measures taken mean that martial law will continue in the country from February 3 to May 4 of this year. The bill was supported by 330 members of parliament with the minimum required number of 226 votes. Additionally, the Ukrainian parliament also approved the extension of general mobilization for a period of 90 days, receiving 312 votes in favor.

The regime of martial law was introduced in Ukraine at the beginning of military actions by Russia in February 2022. During the same period, Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree on the general mobilization of citizens. In August 2025, the Ukrainian government decided to allow young people aged 18 to 22 to travel abroad.
