On December 2, numerous complaints were received reporting various violations at several polling stations, including vote buying and violations of the secrecy of voting. These facts were confirmed by photographs and videos published on social media.
"The identified violations were of a mass and systematic nature, which raised doubts about the integrity of the voting results," noted the lawyer of the Central Election Commission at the meeting.The CEC conducted an investigation based on video recordings from the polling stations. It was found that observers from the candidates unlawfully installed cameras at 35 polling stations, which violated the secrecy of voting and control over the actions of voters.
"On election day, observers from the candidates monitored the procedures for identification, receiving, and casting ballots in the Automated Voting System," the lawyer reported.
Violations were recorded at polling stations No. 2209 (Bazar-Korgon district), No. 2210 (the city of Mailuu-Suu), as well as at stations No. 2213, No. 2214, No. 2215, No. 2216 in the Nooken district, and others. For example, illegal video recording was conducted at all eight polling stations in the city of Mailuu-Suu.
A total of more than 30,260 people voted in the city, which constitutes 39.44% of the total number of voters participating in the election.
According to Article 37 of the Constitutional Law "On Elections," it has been proposed to declare the elections in the district invalid and to prohibit all candidates who ran in this district from engaging in further political activities.
According to preliminary data, among the winners of the elections were:
- Baktybek Sydykov.
- Aibek Altynbekov.
- Aigul Karabekova.
The elections were conducted under new rules considering gender quotas, according to which there must be at least one female deputy from each district.
Although the elections were generally held without serious incidents, some violations were still recorded.
The final results of the elections will be announced by December 14, and preliminary results are currently available.
