The Central Election Commission has annulled the results of the elections in the 13th district, which includes 94 polling stations, and has scheduled a re-vote due to numerous complaints about violations. This was reported by the chairman of the CEC, Tynchtyk Shainazarov, in an interview with the Kabar agency.
He noted that new elections will be held in the district.
“We previously emphasized that all appeals regarding violations will be carefully considered. At this moment, it is evident that many complaints and discontent have been received regarding the 13th district, including through social networks. The CEC is openly and transparently analyzing these appeals. At our meeting, a decision was made to annul all election results in the 13th district. Therefore, new elections will be scheduled. The fourteen candidates who previously participated in the voting will not be able to take part in the re-vote,” he added.
