Chairman of the Central Election Commission Tynchtyk Shainazarov addressed the citizens of Kyrgyzstan.
In his statement, he noted:
“Dear compatriots!
On November 30, elections for the VIII convocation of the Jogorku Kenesh were held. I want to emphasize that their organization was absolutely open and in accordance with all legal norms. The state did not use administrative resources to support or hinder candidates; on the contrary, we insisted that public servants refrain from interfering in campaigning. For the first time in the history of Kyrgyzstan, a remote voting system was implemented, allowing every voter to participate in the process. Voting ended at 20:00, and preliminary results were published at 20:01. The entire process was broadcast live under public oversight, ensuring maximum transparency.
However, despite all our efforts, we cannot ignore the incoming reports and videos regarding vote buying and selling, as well as mentions of certain candidates in this context. We notice that such data is actively spreading on social media. Many of these materials have already been submitted to the Central Election Commission and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. We are also promptly gathering information from open sources, and the commission has begun to verify them.
We understand your concerns and hear the calls for a swift response that are being voiced on social media. The Central Election Commission will carefully examine all materials received. Within 2-3 days, all violations at polling stations, including the discussed 13th district, will be analyzed, and decisions will be made in strict accordance with the law. We strive to make fair and justified decisions to maintain trust in the electoral system and protect the reputation of the state.
At this moment, we urge you to remain calm and refrain from premature conclusions.”
