The new voting system has minimized violations and elevated elections to a new level - expert

According to expert Bakyt Jumagulov, the new voting system has significantly reduced the number of violations and elevated the elections to a new level. In an interview with the Kabar agency, he noted that the election process took place in a calm and controlled atmosphere.

Although voter turnout was not very high, the absence of gross violations became an important indicator. "Previously, we often encountered systemic violations, such as the transportation of voters, bribery, and falsifications by local commissions. In this election, such cases were virtually absent," emphasized Jumagulov.

The expert also pointed out that there remains work for the electoral commissions to verify the sources of funding and electoral funds, which may influence the final results. Nevertheless, overall, the electoral process went smoothly, without serious offenses.

Jumagulov highlighted remote voting, which, according to him, significantly simplified citizen participation. "I myself took advantage of this opportunity: while in Osh, I was able to vote, even though I am registered in the Lenin district of Bishkek. My colleagues did the same at their polling stations. This creates great convenience for voters," he noted.

He also added that the new mechanisms in the electoral system have practically eliminated the corruption risks that previously arose around form No. 2. In the past, this form was often used by candidates in collusion with local authorities to transport "their" voters. The new system has completely neutralized such schemes.

Jumagulov concluded: "We are witnessing the evolution of the electoral system. More honest and transparent conditions have been created, representing a new stage. Our electoral system has taken another step forward."
