The Ministry of Culture promises to create a new school with a dormitory
The construction of a new 8-story building has begun on the site of the old Kureneev Music School in Bishkek.
The old building of the school has been dismantled, and the area where construction is taking place is fenced off.
According to the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy, the new modern school will be built at 162 Panfilova Street. The reason for the demolition of the previous building was its unsatisfactory technical condition, including serious damage to load-bearing structures and non-compliance with sanitary and hygienic requirements.
The total area of the new educational institution will be 13,600 square meters. The project includes an educational building, a concert hall for 300 seats, five small concert halls, a conference hall, a sports complex, and a dormitory for 100 students.
For the implementation of the project, the president allocated 750 million soms from the stabilization fund. It is expected that the facility will be commissioned by December 31, 2026.
