The construction of a new educational institution has started on the site of the demolished Kyrgyz National Music College named after M. Kureneev.

According to the Ministry of Culture, the new educational institution will be located at: 162 Panfilova Street in Bishkek. The previous building was in unsatisfactory technical condition, with serious damage to the load-bearing structures. In addition, compliance with sanitary standards and engineering documentation requirements did not allow for its continued operation.

Culture Minister Mirbek Mambetaliev noted that the new college will include a concert hall with 300 seats, five small concert halls, an orchestra pit, and a dormitory for 100 children.

“750 million soms have been allocated from the stabilization fund for construction. The facility is expected to be commissioned by December 31, 2026,” he added.
