The competitions took place in Almaty
At the athletics competitions in Almaty, which were held from December 5 to 8, athletes from Kyrgyzstan won medals of various merits. This was reported by the Satymkul Jumanazarov Sports School.
120 athletes participated in the competitions, among which 13 represented the athletics department of this school.
The competition program included running distances of 60 m, 200 m, 400 m, 600 m, 1000 m, 2000 m, and 3000 m, as well as high jump, long jump, and shot put.
Kyrgyz athletes returned home with four gold, three silver, and four bronze medals.
The main goals of these competitions were:
- to identify the best physically prepared participants;
- to increase the popularity of athletics;
- to promote a healthy lifestyle;
- to improve the level of sports mastery.
The event was organized by the Almaty Athletics Federation.
