On December 1, they were greeted at the Jalal-Abad airport by Deputy Mayor Gülbarçın Tashtanbekova, Head of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports Nursultan Rustamov, and close relatives of the champions.
The national team of Kyrgyzstan performed successfully at the World Kickboxing Championship for adults, which took place in Abu Dhabi from November 21 to 30, winning two gold and one bronze medal.
The gold medals were brought home by two athletes from Manas:
- Khojiakbar Kambarov — world champion in the weight category up to 51 kg;
- Takhir Marasulov — title holder in the weight up to 94 kg.
More than 2000 athletes from 150 countries participated in this major sporting event. The championship was organized by the UAE Muay Thai and Kickboxing Federation in collaboration with the World Association of Kickboxing (WAKO).
