In the weight category up to 79 kilograms, Kyrgyzstani Elkhan Orozaliev took second place, losing to Vladislav Rudnev from Ukraine, and won a silver medal.
Earlier in the tournament, Bekbolot Toktogonov won gold, while Usun kyzy Akak and Meerimai Nuradilova received bronze medals.
The World Championship took place in Bishkek from November 7 to 9, covering three disciplines: sports sambo, combat sambo, and sambo for the visually impaired in the SVI-1 class. A total of 31 sets of medals were awarded at this event.
