
From November 3 to 7, 2025, Paris, France, is hosting the World Judo Championships for veterans, which has gathered over two thousand participants from 70 countries, as reported by the official website of the International Judo Federation (IJF).
Representation of Kyrgyzstan
At this tournament, Kyrgyzstan is represented by a team of 11 athletes, among whom are:
Islam Bayalinov (weight category up to 73 kg)
Talgat Zhamanakov (up to 81 kg)
Ulanbek Mainaev (up to 81 kg)
Adilet Kanatbekov (up to 81 kg)
Askat Aliyev (over 100 kg)
and other experienced judokas.
The competitions are held in various age groups. In the M2 category, Islam Bayalinov demonstrated excellent skills, winning bronze in the weight category up to 73 kg, securing third place among veterans at the world level.
Recently, just a few days ago, Islam Bayalinov was recognized on the international stage, winning a gold medal at the World Sambo Championships for veterans in Bukhara (Uzbekistan) in the M1 category in the weight up to 79 kg. These successes highlight his high level of skill and versatility in various martial arts.
