Grappling is a type of combat sport where opponents fight both standing and on the ground, without the use of strikes. The main objective is to make the opponent submit using various joint locks and choke techniques. This sport combines elements from many martial arts, including sambo, judo, and jiu-jitsu, and encompasses both throws and ground fighting.
