According to the company's data, the current visibility at the airports reaches 1,700 meters, which allows for both the arrival and departure of aircraft.
However, JSC "International Airports of Kyrgyzstan" noted that airlines that previously postponed flights continue to adhere to this decision. Carriers whose flights are in a waiting status are independently deciding whether to operate departures or postpone them due to the changed schedule.
Earlier, there were reports of delays and cancellations of flights at Manas Airport due to poor weather conditions. Flights to several domestic destinations were canceled, as well as international departures to Istanbul, Baku, Moscow, and St. Petersburg. A similar situation was observed at Osh Airport, where all flights were delayed or canceled.
Delays began on the evening of December 19, when heavy fog reduced visibility to 500 meters, creating serious difficulties for aircraft landings.
