A delegation from the Chinese company ZTO Cloud Warehouse Science and Technology Co., Ltd. visited Kyrgyzstan. During the meeting with representatives of the OJSC "Airports of Kyrgyzstan," plans for the creation of a modern bonded zone at the Manas International Airport were discussed, as reported by the press service of the country's air harbor.
“The arrival of our Chinese partners marks the transition of our cooperation, initiated during the trip to China, into a practical stage,” noted Manasbek Samidinov, Chairman of the Board of OJSC "Airports of Kyrgyzstan."
During the meeting, the parties discussed key steps for the implementation of the project, including the introduction of intelligent logistics solutions for the airport. The Chinese side presented its technical proposals and confirmed its readiness to work on the project directly on-site.
Samidinov expressed confidence that the successful implementation of this project will significantly improve the cargo infrastructure of the Manas airport, strengthening Kyrgyzstan's position in regional trade and creating new opportunities for the development of e-commerce and logistics.
It is worth noting that in early November, a delegation from Kyrgyzstan visited China to exchange experiences in the field of intelligent logistics and cross-border e-commerce. This trip was organized as part of joint projects to create a bonded zone at the Manas International Airport between OJSC "State Customs Infrastructure," "Airports of Kyrgyzstan," and "Kyrgyz Post."

A bonded zone is an area with special customs and tax conditions that allows goods to be imported without paying duties and VAT until they are sold to end consumers. Within this zone, goods can be stored, processed, and manufactured, with taxes and duties paid only when they exit the zone to the domestic market or when sold abroad. This significantly reduces costs for businesses, especially for exporting companies and retail trade.
