Starting from December 5, 2025, Asman Airlines will begin regular flights from Almaty to "Karakol" International Airport. Flights will operate twice a week — on Fridays and Sundays, as reported by the press service of JSC "Airports of Kyrgyzstan".
The flight from Almaty is scheduled for 11:35, while the return flight from Karakol will depart at 12:35. The flight duration will be only 35 minutes, and ticket prices will start from 6,500 soms (approximately 39,000 KZT or 75 USD).
The resumption of air communication between Almaty and Karakol is a significant step in the development of the regional air transportation market. Previously, flights on this route were only occasionally operated in the 2010s, and regular flights had not been conducted since the 1970s.
According to airline representatives, the new route is aimed at active leisure enthusiasts and ski tourism, as Karakol is considered one of the most popular winter resorts in the region for tourists from Kazakhstan.
The main advantages of the new route include direct communication without the need for transfers and a convenient schedule that allows for both short weekend trips and full vacations.
