Recently, Kazibek Moldazhiyev, the director of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, visited the "Alga" sports complex in Bishkek. His visit was timed to assess the training process of the national team, which is preparing for the youth ice hockey World Championship.
The competitions in the U-20 category (IIHF Division III-B) will take place from January 18 to 24 at the "Bishkek" arena. Teams from Kyrgyzstan, Mexico, Luxembourg, South Africa, Iran, and Hong Kong will participate in the tournament.
Moldazhiyev expressed hope that the athletes would demonstrate a high level of play and strive for victory. During the visit, issues regarding the team's readiness were discussed with the leadership of the "Zhashtyk" directorate, as well as with the vice president of the Hockey Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic, Elzar Bolotbekov, and the head coach, Alexey Hakalo.
