Bishkek Prepares for the Ice Hockey World Championship

Kazybek Moldazhiyev, the director of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, visited the "Alga" sports complex in Bishkek. He familiarized himself with the training process of the national hockey team of Kyrgyzstan, which is preparing for the World Championship, as reported by the agency's press service.

The competitions among youth teams U-20 (IIHF Division III-B) will take place in Bishkek at the "Bishkek Arena" ice rink from January 18 to 24.

Six youth teams from different countries will participate in the tournament, including Kyrgyzstan, Mexico, Luxembourg, South Africa, Iran, and Hong Kong.

During his visit, Moldazhiyev met with the hockey players and wished them to showcase their skills in every match and strive for victory.

During the meeting, issues regarding the current preparation for the championship were also discussed with Urmat Asanbaev, the head of the "Zhashtyk" directorate for Olympic sports, the vice president of the Hockey Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic Elzar Bolotbekov, and the head coach of the national team Alexey Hakalo.
