Kazybek Moldazhiyev met with the winners of the World Karate Championship

Kazbek Moldazhiyev, the director of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic, held a meeting with the team representing Kyrgyzstan at the WSF World Karate Championship, which took place in Sofia, Bulgaria.

During the meeting, Moldazhiyev congratulated the athletes on their outstanding achievements on the international stage and wished them further success. He also noted that support for the athletes would continue, presenting them with Certificates of Appreciation.

For reference, the WSF World Karate Championship was held from October 31 to November 2 and gathered participants from nearly 30 countries. The Kyrgyz team returned with several prize-winning positions.

So, here are the achievements of Kyrgyz athletes:

In the men's category:

Nurdoelot Rysbekov – 1st place in kumite (this is his third world champion title) and 3rd place in kata (among veterans and masters of sports over 55 years old).
Amanbol Talaybekov – 1st place in kumite (up to 84 kg).
Siymyk Akunov – 2nd place in kumite (up to 75 kg).
Bilal Ryskulov – 2nd place in kumite (juniors 16-17 years, up to 61 kg).
Ataybek Abdizhalil uulu – 1st place in shobu nihon kumite (up to 75 kg).

In the women's category:

Aruna Rysbekova – 3rd place in kumite (14-15 years, over 54 kg).
Aytunuk Tursunbekova – 1st place in kumite (up to 50 kg).
Elena Kochkorova – 2nd place in kumite (10-11 years, up to 40 kg).
