Temir Bikboev won a silver medal at the III Asian Youth Games

The athlete from Kara-Balta, Temir Bikboev, won a silver medal in pencak silat at the III Asian Youth Games.

The competitions concluded as part of the III Asian Youth Games, where the Kyrgyzstan team competed under the guidance of head coach Kanybek Bikboev.

Temir Bikboev, competing in the 59–63 kg category, took second place and became the silver medalist.

The III Asian Youth Games are taking place in the capital of Bahrain — Manama, from October 22 to 31. More than 4,000 athletes from 45 countries are participating in these competitions, represented in 26 sports (31 disciplines).

Kyrgyzstan is represented by a team of 145 athletes, as well as 38 coaches and specialists, competing in 18 sports.

Unlike the previous tournament in Nanjing in 2013, when the country was represented by only 14 athletes, the current team has significantly increased.
