The III Asian Youth Games in boxing and mixed martial arts took place in Bahrain, in the city of Manama.
The Mongolian team was represented by two boxers — ALTANZUL Altangadas and AMINAA Azjargal.
Altanzul Altangadas won a bronze medal in the weight category up to 46 kg, confidently defeating Japanese athlete Matsuri Kamemori in the quarterfinals and securing her place on the podium.
Amina Azjargal also won a bronze medal, defeating Thai athlete Rujira Srifontong in the 54 kg category.
Additionally, ÖLZIYTANARAN Bat-Erdene won silver in mixed martial arts in the 60 kg weight class at these games. The gold medal in this category was won by Iranian Tiam Dehpalavan.
Ölziytanaran successfully reached the finals, defeating Kyrgyz athlete Gulmayram Abdykerimova in the quarterfinals and Kazakh athlete Telmankyzy Khadidzh in the semifinals.
