According to them, visibility at the airport ranges between 400 and 800 meters; however, takeoffs and landings continue as usual.
The press service also reported that the airlines Turkish Airlines and Pegasus canceled their flights, while the local company Tez Jet canceled two flights without providing explanations.

It is worth noting that a modern Category III (CAT III) light signaling system was previously installed at the airport, which is supposed to ensure the ability to receive and dispatch aircraft even in conditions of heavy fog and low visibility. This innovation is expected to significantly reduce the number of delays and cancellations of flights, as well as improve the reliability of air communication, as reported by company representatives.
In addition, the OJSC emphasized that the final decision on landing is made by the pilot.
