The incident occurred at Tamchy Airport when a flight from Moscow to Bishkek was redirected there due to heavy fog that complicated landing at Manas International Airport. According to the Kyrgyz Airports OJSC, the plane landed in Tamchy at 00:07, and a bus was organized for the convenience of passengers to transport them to Bishkek. However, during the trip, several women began to insist on being allowed onto the tarmac to communicate with the crew, believing that the decision not to disembark was made independently by the pilots.
The airport emphasized that according to aviation norms and safety regulations, allowing passengers onto the tarmac without permission is strictly prohibited. The aviation security service intervened and explained the rules applicable in this situation.
Despite the explanations, several female passengers began to behave aggressively and entered into a conflict with airport staff. As a result of the scuffle, equipment was damaged: a computer and a printer were broken, and order was disrupted. The participants in the incident filmed the situation, portraying it as an allegedly unlawful detention and improper conditions on the part of the airport, noted the press secretary.
Following the incident, the airport administration contacted the police, drew up a report on what happened, and assessed the material damage. All necessary documents, including the assessment of the damaged property, were submitted to law enforcement agencies.
According to the press service of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Issyk-Kul region, information about the incident was registered in the logbook. After the official appeal, the case will be entered into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Proceedings (ERPP), and a criminal case will likely be initiated under the article on hooliganism.
The Kyrgyz Airports OJSC emphasized that they plan to seek compensation for damages in accordance with the law.
