Work continues on the implementation of the third category light signaling system (CAT III) at the international airport "Manas". This information was provided by the press service of JSC "Airports of Kyrgyzstan".
The installation of the CAT III system will allow the acceptance and departure of aircraft even in conditions of heavy fog and low visibility, which, in turn, will significantly reduce the likelihood of delays and cancellations of flights, as well as improve the reliability of air communication.
The process of installing modern light signaling equipment is being carried out in strict accordance with international civil aviation standards and is aimed at further modernizing the infrastructure of the "Manas" airport.
It should be noted that the final decision on landing in each individual case will be made by the aircraft crew, taking into account the actual meteorological conditions and the operational capabilities of the aircraft.
