“Aykol was born prematurely, and right after her birth, we learned about her diagnosis of cerebral palsy. At first, my ex-husband actively helped me take care of our daughter, but gradually his attitude changed, and soon he left. I think he could never come to terms with the fact that our daughter is sick,” Begimai shares.
When she was left alone with the little girl, who needed constant care and treatment, Begimai moved from her village to Bishkek.

Begimai's daughter has a number of complex diagnoses; she needs help.
“In the village, I earned a living selling buns in stores. In Bishkek, I found a job as a hairdresser in a beauty salon. My earnings increased, but expenses in the city also rose significantly,” she shares.
Aykol has already undergone two surgeries in Bishkek aimed at correcting the bilateral ankle joint deformity, but the results were not as successful as expected.

“I learned that abroad there is an opportunity to perform a more complex but more effective surgery. I started gathering information and contacted doctors in Turkey. They assured me that in our case, it is possible to correct the clubfoot. However, the surgery costs $25,000, and I do not have such funds, and I do not know how to earn them in a short period,” says Begimai.
I decided to start a fundraising campaign for Aykol's surgery and ask everyone who can help to contribute any amount. Every penny is important to us.

Aykol is Begimai's only child. She has never been able to walk, and all of her mother's efforts are directed at helping her get on her feet. Begimai's dream is to see her daughter take her first steps.
“I really need your support. Over these six years, I have coped with all the difficulties that have arisen on Aykol's path. She has suffered from pain, and I have experienced it with her. I have the strength to help her, but I am unable to find the necessary amount of money. Therefore, putting aside my shame, I turned to kind people for help,” she concludes.

Begimai has managed to raise 500,000 soms, but this amount is not enough to fully cover the cost of the surgery.
