In the city of Manas, located in the Jalal-Abad region, there have been problems with bus traffic due to a gas shortage. This was reported by the Region TV channel.

As a result, route taxis that were previously removed from the lines have returned to service.

One of the minibus drivers shared that they started operating again 4-5 days ago and warned that this is a temporary measure.

Avtandil Maksutov, the head of the municipal bus depot, explained that the reason for the gas shortage is related to the situation in Uzbekistan.

“Previously, we received gas from the neighboring country, but now there is also a shortage there, which has led to a reduction in supplies to Kyrgyzstan. At the moment, we can only refuel 5-6 buses with methane per day, which is extremely insufficient. Refueling these buses with propane is not possible,” noted Avtandil Maksutov.

According to the TV channel, although some buses continue to operate, the total number of working units has significantly decreased: while there used to be about 15 buses circulating in the city, their number has now noticeably reduced.
