The press service of the Main Internal Affairs Department of the Chui Region reported the initiation of a criminal case in connection with a fire that resulted in the deaths of two people.

It was previously reported that the incident occurred on the outskirts of the village of Spartak, where a car burned down. Inside the vehicle, the bodies of 25-year-old driver O. E. and 16-year-old passenger T. S., a schoolgirl born in 2010, were found.

During the investigation, it was revealed that the car was purchased on January 11. Just two days after the purchase, the owner contacted an electrician with a complaint about a malfunctioning left headlight. The specialist noted that the technical condition of the vehicle left much to be desired, with exposed wires, a smell of gasoline, and visible smoke in the cabin. The driver was informed about the possible risks of continuing to operate the vehicle.

The police emphasized that, despite the known circumstances, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 122 "Murder" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic to ensure a complete and impartial investigation of the incident. Investigative actions are currently ongoing, and a legal decision will be made based on the results.

The Main Internal Affairs Department of the Chui Region urged citizens not to spread unverified information about the incident.
