From January 22 to 23, snowfall is expected in the Chui region and throughout the republic, leading to the formation of ice and reduced visibility on the roads.

The press service of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui region reports that on the Bishkek–Osh highway, near the Too-Ashuu pass, intense snowfall, fog, and ice are observed. On the bypass roads of the Issyk-Ata and Kemin districts, as well as in mountainous areas, driving conditions are significantly complicated due to the formation of ice.

In connection with the deterioration of weather conditions, it is recommended to:

- Strictly adhere to speed limits and maintain a safe distance between vehicles.

- Avoid sharp maneuvers, sudden stops, and unnecessary overtaking.

- Check the technical condition of the vehicle before departure, including brakes, lighting, and windshield wipers.

- If possible, postpone long trips and trips to mountainous areas until the weather improves.

The Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui region also urges pedestrians to be especially careful when crossing the road, to follow traffic rules, and to use reflective elements during dark hours and in poor visibility conditions.
