According to the press service, the stoppage of the clock is related to the natural wear of the movement mechanism; one of the gears has lost teeth, which is the cause of the malfunction.
In order to restore the clock to working condition, it is necessary to completely replace the mechanism on both dials. The company also noted that from the side of Chuy Avenue, the mechanism continues to function, but its wear requires attention.
Currently, "Kyrgyztelecom" has already ordered new mechanisms and has begun work on their replacement. After completing all necessary procedures, the clock will return to normal operation.

The clock on the building of OJSC "Kyrgyztelecom" was installed in 1984 during the construction of the complex. The mechanism was gifted by Armenia as a sign of friendship during the Soviet era. Every hour from 08:00 to 21:00, the clock strikes the chimes, and at 07:58 the national anthem of Kyrgyzstan plays, while at noon the melody "Emgek marshy" is heard.
