The issue was raised at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh committee
In Kyrgyzstan, the outflow of IT specialists abroad continues, where working conditions and salaries are more attractive. This was reported by deputy Seyidbek Atambaev at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh Committee, which deals with issues of science, education, innovative development, information technology, as well as culture, sports, and youth policy.
The deputy noted that the High Technology Park is preparing qualified specialists who, unfortunately, leave the country in search of better working conditions. In this regard, he inquired about what measures are being taken to retain talented personnel within the country.
In response, the director of the "Directorate of the High Technology Park of the Kyrgyz Republic," Azis Abakirov, acknowledged the existence of this problem and noted that the outflow of specialists is indeed taking place. He added that at the beginning of the development of the IT sector in Kyrgyzstan, when the High Technology Park was just starting its activities, migration was much more extensive.
Nevertheless, Abakirov emphasized that the situation is beginning to change: offices of international IT companies are opening in Kyrgyzstan, and specialists who previously worked abroad are starting to return, bringing with them new knowledge and experience.
