It has also been proposed to increase pensions for the deaf, considering the risks of workplace accidents.

At a recent joint meeting of the parliamentary groups "Eldik" and "Ala-Too," Deputy Azamat Israilov raised an important issue regarding social support for people with disabilities. He addressed Edil Baysalov, the Deputy Prime Minister, and Kanat Sagynbaev, the Minister of Labor.

Israilov noted that currently, payments are only provided for those who care for individuals who have been blind since birth, while those who have lost their sight during their lifetime remain without any support. The deputy suggested that the Ministry of Labor develop a payment system for this category as well.

In addition to this, he proposed to increase pensions for the deaf, emphasizing that due to insufficient payment levels, many of them are forced to seek employment, even if it may be unsafe. In his opinion, this leads to an increase in workplace accidents.

The deputy urged the government to reconsider the existing approach to supporting people with disabilities to ensure them more dignified living conditions.
