KR strengthens cooperation with Hungary within the framework of the student scholarship program

Gulzat Isamatova, the Minister of Science, Higher Education, and Innovations of Kyrgyzstan, held a meeting with Sandor Dorogi, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Hungary to Kyrgyzstan. During this meeting, current issues and the future of bilateral cooperation in the field of science and education were discussed.

The parties noted the need to update the legal framework for further interaction and emphasized the importance of joint events in 2026, as well as the development of academic mobility and strengthening ties between universities.

Particular attention was paid to the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship program, which was initiated by the Hungarian side. This program provides citizens of Kyrgyzstan with the opportunity to study at the best universities in Hungary, and it was previously reported that 200 places had been allocated for students.

As a result of the meeting, the participants confirmed their readiness to deepen strategic partnership, expand educational exchanges, and develop scientific and technical cooperation, identifying key areas for further joint work.
