The Ministry of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic has proposed an initiative to increase the fees for alternative service.
According to the agency, the current rates were set in 2017 and require updating in light of economic growth and the level of inflation.
As of today, according to current calculations, the amount is 18,000 soms for citizens undergoing alternative service due to family circumstances, and 25,000 soms for those with health limitations.
It is proposed to increase these amounts to 25,000 and 50,000 soms, respectively. Additionally, citizens undergoing alternative service for religious beliefs will also pay 50,000 soms.
