
The family became a victim of a tragic accident
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic responded to the incident in the United States, where a citizen of Kyrgyzstan was involved in a traffic accident that claimed the lives of four people.
The incident occurred on February 3 on State Road 67 in Indiana, involving Kyrgyz citizen B.B., born in 1995.
"According to preliminary information, as a result of the collision between the truck driven by the Kyrgyz citizen and a passenger van, four people died. One of the witnesses was hospitalized with serious injuries," the ministry noted.
State law enforcement agencies continue the investigation, during which B.B. is in custody.
This situation is under the control of the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in the USA and the Consulate General in Chicago, which are interacting with local authorities, B.B.'s employer, and taking necessary measures in response to the incident," the Ministry added.
The Ministry expresses its sincere condolences to the families of the deceased and hopes for the swift recovery of the injured.
As reported by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), charges have been brought against Kyrgyz citizen Bekzhan Beishekeev related to the traffic accident that resulted in the deaths of four people. The vehicle he was driving crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with a van. As a result of the tragedy, family members were killed: 50-year-old Henry Aiker, 25-year-old Menno Aiker, 19-year-old Paul Aiker, and 23-year-old Simon Jiro.
