This series, based on Charles Dickens' novel "Oliver Twist," unfolds in Australia in the 1850s. The main character, Jack Dawkins, is a thief and trickster trying to rid himself of his harmful habits while continuing to lead a double life, combining pickpocketing with medical operations that can save lives.
